BobcaThon is a year-long fundraiser on Ohio University's campus that benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. Our mission, in conjunction with the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio, is to unite the Ohio University community in a tradition that raises funds and awareness for children with serious illnesses and their families.

Founded in 2014, BobcaThon has since evolved into a campus-wide cause. More than 800 Ohio University students, faculty and alumni from 20+ on-campus organizations participated during the 2017-2018 school year and collectively helped raise $100,000 for the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio through personal involvement and student organization participation.

During the day of the Dance Marathon, we stand on our feet for 12 hours for the kids whose bodies feel the same exhaustion every day from their diagnoses.

Throughout the Dance Marathon, participants learn a line dance, play games, compete against other Color Teams and hear stories from families who have benefitted from the Ronald McDonald House.

Two meals and snacks will be provided to participants. You should also bring:

  • Comfortable shoes
  • Phones and chargers
  • Student ID
  • Fanny pack/drawstring bag
  • Cash and coins
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Change of clothes (optional)
